About Us
How We Met
Richard and Abbey met at a YSA activity in May 2018. Abbey was about to leave on her mission and wasn't interested in dating anyone, but Richard didn't let that stop him! He was very persistent and eventually got her to agree to one date on July 9th. That one date turned into many and the rest was history.
Our Engagement
Richard asked Abbey to marry him on July 7th, 2023 at 7:00 PM on the rooftop of the Le Meridien, Marriott in downtown Salt Lake City. They had the perfect view of the city skyline and had a roaring applause from guests dining at the rooftop restaurant. They were then greeted by their families and shared some Sparkling Blush apple cider and macaroons!
Picking Our Temple
After building their home, Abbey and Richard realized that they had a perfect view of the Saratoga Springs temple from their living room windows. They were lucky enough to snag a reservation for the open house the day it opened. While walking through the temple they couldn't help but feel as though it was *their* temple. It felt like home and they realized it was where they wanted to begin their eternal family. Abbey and Richard have prepared for many years to enter the Temple and be sealed together for all time and eternity. There is an undeniable spirit in the house of the Lord and we are grateful for the experiences we have had there that have brought us closer together and closer to God. We waited FIVE YEARS for this day to finally come and were so excited, but also only had 2 months to plan and arrange the entire thing! Magically, it all came together.
